In February 1982, Stuart Peters Ltd (SP) was founded with five staff members based in Eastcastle Street, before moving to Margaret Street and onto the current location in Drummond Street, as the business has grown. Erica Peters joined the business in 1984, Kevin Crump in June 2004 and Jason Peters in March 2005.
Initially, SP supplied independents using agents within the UK and Europe. Products were shown at exhibitions in London, Paris, Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Helsinki & Stockholm.
The business in its current structure evolved from a successful decision in 1988 to target UK High Street multiples as customers. SP currently employs approximately 90 staff worldwide in its three offices, London, Hong Kong and Dhaka. The success of the business is based on the strength of SP’s long term relationships with both its customers and its suppliers.
